Comparison Shows 2011 GMC Acadia Denali Ranks High Against the Competition

2011 GMC Denali Pulls Strong Performance Against the Competition

Research performed by staff writer found that the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali ranks high when compared with both the 2011 Honda Pilot and 2011 Toyota Highlander. Whether considering horsepower, torque, displacement and compression ratio, the Acadia Denali beats the competition hands down. The 2011 model’s significantly-better numbers are evidence of what GMC already knew. It simply has a more powerful, luxury, crossover SUV, with all of the towing capacity and power that any driver in Charlotte, Matthews or Monroe, NC could benefit from.

The GMC Acadia Denali’s maximum payload (1755 lbs), towing (5200 lbs), and GVWR (6411) figures* are quite impressive, especially when compared to its lesser-equipped competitors. In addition, the Acadia Denali boasts an automatic 6-speed transmission with overdrive, verses the competitions’ 5-speed transmissions. At 118.9 inches, this SUV’s wheelbase is considerably larger than both the Toyota and Honda models; which only have a 109.8 inch and 109.2 inch wheelbase, respectively. This enables the Acadia Denali to have a much wider wheelbase, resulting in a more stable foundation that can handle all of the power it has to offer.

Even with regard to dimensions, cabin space and cargo area, the 2011 Acadia Denali is a winner. The Acadia Denali can seat 8 passengers comfortably in its larger cabin space, while the Toyota Highlander can only seat a maximum of 7. In addition, the GMC Acadia Denali model has more head room in both the front (40.4 in.) and rear (38.4 in.), as well as rear leg room (33.2 in.). When it comes to EPA trunk or cargo space, the 2011 GMC Acadia Denali can store an amazing 115.9 cu.ft., while the Toyota (95.4 cu.ft.) and Honda (87.0 cu.ft.) are sadly lacking.
