The GMC Terrain is fast gaining a reputation for bringing in new customers previously loyal to other brands. By the end of this year it seems that the Terrain will have brought in more than half of its customers from other brands, and this will be the third year in a row. And of those who come from other brands one in five comes from import cars like Toyota, Honda, and Nissan.
It seems too that this year the Acadia is following suit from the Terrain by also attracting new customers from other brands. More than half of Acadia purchases in 2011 came from customers who were previously loyal to other brands. For the Acadia this will make the fourth year where the majority of sales came from customers not previously loyal to GMC.
As we looked at in a recent article, the Acadia has one of the lowest ownership costs on the market, and experts believe that this is what is leading new customers to the Acadia. In addition to the cost of ownership, Acadia also has a high resale value, which gives customers the best bang for their buck!
“Acadia and Terrain are industry leaders in both design and technology,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC Sales and Service. “Consumers are taking notice, as evidenced by each model’s sales increases through the first 11 months of 2011.”
And other GMC vehicles also seem to be picking up new customers right and left. Th Sierra HD pickup was redesigned for this year and it seems that the new design was just what customers were looking for, because people can’t get enough of them. The Sierra pickups have ended their first full calendar year on a high note, with the pickups’ sales having increased drastically over the course of the year.
And together each of these vehicles has brought about the success of GMC for the course of this year. Together, these vehicles have helped GMC increase retail sales by nineteen percent. For GMC this can go a long way in helping the company create and build more and more exciting and innovative new vehicles.
