2014 GMC Terrain – a Beautiful Crossover SUV

High tech features dominate the 2014 GMC Terrain like a rearview camera, a touch-screen stereo, heated mirrors and Bluetooth, which aren’t standard on some competitors.  Add the Denali trim package and it comes loaded with even more standard features, such as lane departure warning, remote start and forward collision alert. Reviewers say the optional IntelliLink infotainment system is straightforward and easy to navigate.

The 2014 Terrain’s safety test scores are quite impressive.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) puts the Terrain at an overall score of four stars.  Individual tests give it four stars for frontal impacts and five stars for side-impact protection and for recently added (but not yet included in scoring) side-pole test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rates the Terrain as “good” in all its tests; together with standard stability control, that makes the Terrain a Top Safety Pick. The combination makes the Terrain one of the highest-rated crossovers of its kind.
